As our association “DCS” participates in the establishment of a culture of communication and dialogue based on respect for the principles of citizenship and human rights; As our association “DCS” participates in the establishment of a culture of communication and dialogue based on the respect of the principles of citizenship and human rights and fights against all kinds of discrimination and exclusion, we cannot but talk about the Berber question in North Africa and more precisely in Tunisia where the Amazigh cultural dimension is very weak compared to the neighboring countries. The Amazigh speaking regions are very restricted (essentially Djerba, Matmata and Tataouine1) and the number of speakers is increasingly weak (estimated at less than 1% of the population). So, based on the following principles:
The valuation of cultural diversity in Tunisia
The safeguarding of this endangered heritage
The valorization of the Amazigh traditions
The recognition of their linguistic and cultural specificity And based on the techniques of street theater and musical theater, we have prepared a show in full public that includes both the theater, music and dance, to better reach people and better leave together towards new utopias. We started working on this masterpiece since August 2017, and the first two shows took place last March in the region of Gabes and Matmata.
