On the 9th of October 2023, Danseurs Citoyens Sud hosted a remarkable art bootcamp entitled “current” at No Name - artistic studio lab. This bootcamp was a collaborative endeavor with the esteemed American Dance Education and Interdisciplinary Arts organization "Company E". "Current" brought together the creative minds of Tunisia and the United States as three esteemed American experts in the fields of dance and music journeyed to Gabes, Tunisia, to impart their wisdom and expertise to Tunisian artists. The core theme of "Current" revolves around the multifaceted relationship between humanity and water across cultures. This topic was chosen to explore the profound and universal connection that people share with water, a vital element that sustains life and has deep-rooted cultural significance across the globe. Hence, this art bootcamp represented the union of international artistic expertise and the exploration of a profound and cross-cultural theme where collaboration fuses movement, music, and multimedia. The "Art for Climate Justice" festival, held from October 1st to 7th, 2023, was a remarkable collaborative initiative involving several organizations, namely "Danseurs Citoyens Sud," "Hivos," "Collective Creative," the "Stop Pollution" movement, and the "Observatory for Food Sovereignty and the Environment." This significant event took place at  No Name - Artistic Studio Lab, Gabes, Tunisia. A particularly noteworthy aspect of this festival was the photography team which seized an extraordinary opportunity to venture into “Chat Salem”, an area in Gabes ravaged by pollution and the disposal of Phosphogypsum waste. Their mission was to engage directly with the local citizens, listen to their concerns, and obtain their consent for a photoshoot that would highlight the lives of these individuals in an environment tainted by contamination. The exhibition took place from 1 to 5 October 2023 and vividly encapsulated this concept. Each photograph served as a window into the intricate interplay between nature, society, and climate justice in this region. The "Art for Climate Justice" festival was a collaborative effort between “Danseurs Citoyens Sud” , "Hivos," "collective creative", the "stop pollution" movement, and the "Observatory for Food Sovereignty and the Environment." It was held from October 1st to 7th, 2023 at No Name - artistic studio lab.  This event united six talented performing artists, each hailing from diverse backgrounds, to vividly depict the environmental challenges faced in Gabes. Through a captivating fusion of art and activism, the performing arts team conveyed the pressing environmental concerns in Gabes with great depth, leaving a profound impact on the emotions and thoughts of the audience. "Danseurs Citoyens Sud" orchestrated a socially significant art bootcamp that unfolded from September 11 to 17, 2023, at NO Name Artistic Studio Lab. Central to this immersive experience was the overarching theme of "climate justice," with a particular focus on addressing the environmental challenges faced by marginalized areas. What made this initiative even more powerful was the collaboration with influential organizations such as "Hivos," the "Collective Creative" association, the "Stop Pollution" movement, and the "Observatory for Food Sovereignty and the Environment." This collaborative effort stemmed from a shared conviction in the potent capacity of art to be a force for change, shedding light on the plight of marginalized communities and addressing environmental injustices that are often overlooked.This opportunity served as a crucible for artistic exploration and expression, encompassing three distinct art disciplines, each led by a prominent figure in their respective fields. Under the expert guidance of Assem Bettouhami, a luminary in the realm of performing arts, participants delved deep into the world of stagecraft, leveraging the power of performance to champion the cause of climate justice. The Artistic Bootcamp is an activity of the MISAHAT Mushataraka programThis Bootcamp is based on research and testing among a group of artists in Tunisia and the Arab region, and studied the intersection of the artistic and creative field and its relation to local contexts.The performance produced was a translation of social, economic and cultural reality, regarding civic engagement, aimed at involving individuals in their communities to make a positive difference. Taking place between May 28th and June 4th, 2023, at the No Name Artistic Studio Lab in Gabes - Tunisia, this bootcamp brought together a diverse group of artists from all around Tunisia and trainers of the MENA region. Together, they embarked on a journey of research, experimentation, and collaboration to explore the relationship between art, creativity, and local contexts. Aspiring amateur and professional artists had a rare opportunity to showcase their abilities and skills in performing arts at the Artistic Bootcamp in Gabes Governorate, held from February 20 to 24. Hosted at DCS's No Name Artistic Studio Lab private center, the bootcamp provided the ideal place for artists to delve into their work and bring their creativity to life. The bootcamp brought together a diverse and unique group of 9 participants from various regions of Tunisia, including Gabes, Tunis, Monastir, and Sfax. Despite their differing viewpoints, they shared a common goal: to create a work of art that reflected their perspective toward the current social, political, and economic realities. Under the guidance of Mr. Tarak Bouzid, a highly regarded choreographer, the group underwent a rigorous program that deepened their artistic skills and created a street performance that would captivate and move audiences. Participants were encouraged to explore diverse techniques and approaches to dance and performance, and to push the boundaries of their own creativity. The final piece was a representation of the artists' life experiences that served as inspiration, emphasizing the need for certain individuals to be accepted and recognized in their society. Experience the power of art and activism with MISAHAT NOON, the unforgettable artistic boot camp that brought together young dancers from different regions of Tunisia to the Magrebian Youth Complex in Tataouine from January 4th to 11th, 2023. This activity aimed to empower young people to use their talents to make a difference in the world. Led by American choreographer and contemporary dancer Heather Harrington, participants participated in workshops and rehearsals aimed at exploring different aspects of violence against women and raising awareness about women's rights, drawing inspiration from the revolutionary movement of Martha Graham. Throughout the week, the participants not only honed their dance skills, but also had the opportunity to expand their knowledge in other performing art fields. They were introduced to music producing with sound engineers Aymen Goubaa & Arij Jaouachi and learned about human rights history with rights activist Badr Baabou. The bootcamp brought together young people from all regions of Tunisia, providing them with a platform to not only showcase their talents, but also to come together and learn from one another. The diverse group of participants brought their unique perspectives and experiences to the table, making for a truly enriching and meaningful experience.

The association "South Citizen Dancers" organized a technical camp in the state of Tatawin from 11 to 23 April 2022 in partnership with IPA Switxboard within the program "Technical Camps and Joint Technical Production".This program aims to enhance young people's abilities in performing arts, including theatre, music and dance. It also provides accompaniment for the production of artworks to be displayed in public arena. #DCS #IPA
