ELYES YAHYAOUI
Elyes Yahyaoui is an architect who joined the INTERFERENCE adventure in 2018. His love and commitment for art have left a significant mark during the different editions of the festival. Now he’s the head of the production team, overseeing the logistical aspects and ensuring its smooth execution.
NABIL DKHIL
Nabil Dkhil is a multi-instrumentalist born in Gabes, Tunisia. He began his musical journey at the age of 19 with percussion and vocals. Co-founding the band "Stambalio" with six members, they achieved recognition by winning the 2nd prize of the jury at the International Festival of Gabes in 2002, followed by participation in the International Festival of Matmata the same year. Nabil's passion for music led him to self-teach Guembri (The Sintir) and his skills were acknowledged by the renowned Guembri player “EL Ejmi”. Nabil continued to evolve artistically, participating in various international festivals and producing original works like "Stambalio" and "Pardon our Lord", while preserving the ancient melodies and chants of Afro-Arabic culture. Since 2008, residing in Lyon, France, Nabil has collaborated with jazz and Afro musicians, including “Balani Sound System”, and regularly returns to Tunisia to collaborate with artists like Boubakar Ben Zid and Nabil Ghannoufi.
MOHAMED ATHMOUNI
Mohamed Athmouni , known as Hamma, is a skilled Tunisian circus performer who sees art as a powerful force capable of influencing positive change within society. Mohamed initiated his artistic career several years ago where he explored various types of performing arts. His repertoire includes excellent performances in dance, theater, and circus arts which have taken him across the entire country. Beyond his role as a performer, Hamma strongly believes in the potential of art in shaping his personality and contributing to his well-being.
YOSRI SOUISSI
Yosri Souissi is a Tunisian freerunner and martial arts practitioner who transitioned into the world of parkour at 18, setting the stage for an exceptional athletic journey. In 2018, he became one of Tunisia's first federal coaches. Yosri's artistic experience began in March 2023 when he joined a circus team as an acrobat, blending athleticism with artistic expression.In July 2023, he explored the discipline of aerial straps which demands both strength and balance. This experience served to shape his identity and transform his ambitions.Yet, despite the difficulty of balancing this pursuit with architectural studies, Yosri found harmony through dedication and serious commitment.
JIHENE MAKKERI
Jihen Makkeri graduated from the Higher Institute of Arts and Crafts in Gabes. Her passion for art developed from childhood, leading her to nurture her skills, with oil painting being her initial area of exploration. She then continued her academic journey to obtain a master's degree in Visual Arts, an experience that deepened her understanding of the field and strengthened her belief in art as a vast and ever-evolving medium and mechanism. Additionally, Jihen is interested in researching new concepts that inspire her to enhance her artistic vision. Currently, she is showcasing her artwork in the exhibition titled “At Hand” in Gabes.
MOHAMED ALI SAADOULY
Mohamed Ali Saadouly (AKA Dali) is a 24-year-old emerging artist from Gabes with a deep interest in various forms of art. Recently awarded a degree in arts and crafts, he is currently pursuing a master's degree with a specialization in sculpture. Mohamed Ali credits his skills to his teacher Mohamed Amine Hamouda, who dedicates time and effort to creating natural dyes and crafting paper exclusively from natural fibers. This approach has heightened Dali’s passion for arts and underscored the significance of valuing and exploiting the offerings of Mother Nature.
MALEK ZOUAIDI
Malek Zouaidi is Tunisian artist who has been drawn into the world of performative arts since a young age. Years later, she decided to enter this field, starting with theatrical training at the National Theatre and completing a 4-year program at the National School of Circus Arts in Tunis. After that, she sought to enhance her skills and knowledge in the circus arts, leading her to the "Rosny sous-bois" school in Paris. Returning to Tunisia, she worked with the "Théâtre fou" company at Mad'art Carthage, directed by Raja Ben Ammar and Moncef Sayem, both as a performer and teacher. Her passion for circus and dance transformed into a profession through encounters with local and international artists.
MOHAMED AMINE HAMOUDA
Mohamed Amine Hamouda is a visual artist and a teacher at the Higher Institute of Arts and Crafts in Gabes. His work is based on experimental research that explores and highlights the natural resources of Gabes to initiate new discussions about the oasis and the potential future of the region. Hamouda presents his handmade dyes, fibers, and papers, using only plants and natural elements found in the oasis, to document the biodiversity and rich ecological systems of the threatened oasis. He explores media and materials based on the plant diversity in his region, thus reviving lost and forgotten stories that existed before industrial colonization. SANA ZARRAD
Sana is a gifted individual originally from Tunisia, who is passionate about performing arts. Her initial taste of the professional scene came through a theater project, an experience that opened her eyes to the joy of the creative process and instilled in her a profound appreciation for the idea of putting in dedicated effort to nurture her growth as an artist. From a young age, Sana has held a deep affection for both dancing and singing. Her artistic journey commenced with the cultivation of her singing talents, a journey that has fueled her with a relentless determination to commit herself to the pursuit of her artistic path.
GHASSEN GHERISSI
Ghassen is a multi-talented artist hailing from Tunisia. As a self-taught musician, singer, and songwriter, he has forged his own path in the world of music. His creative palette is a rich tapestry woven from the threads of reggae, jazz, and the traditional music of Tunisia. More recently, he turned to Alternative Music, convinced that all countries must reconnect with their cultural origins. This compelling vision has led him on a quest to uncover the rhythms and melodies that have often remained hidden. Moreover, he manages to infuse his energy and passion into the lyrics of his songs that he carries in his daily life.
