Naima Guenni is a talented designer and presenter hailing from Gabes with a 4-year experience in the media field. She has worked as a media coordinator for various events. Her journey in the media is not just a job, but also a passion and a continuous learning experience. Hence, Naima firmly believes in her potential to progress and acquire new skills within the media sector.
NABIL DKHIL
Nabil Dkhil is a multi-instrumentalist born in Gabes, Tunisia. He began his musical journey at the age of 19 with percussion and vocals. Co-founding the band "Stambalio" with six members, they achieved recognition by winning the 2nd prize of the jury at the International Festival of Gabes in 2002, followed by participation in the International Festival of Matmata the same year. Nabil's passion for music led him to self-teach Guembri (The Sintir) and his skills were acknowledged by the renowned Guembri player “EL Ejmi”. Nabil continued to evolve artistically, participating in various international festivals and producing original works like "Stambalio" and "Pardon our Lord", while preserving the ancient melodies and chants of Afro-Arabic culture. Since 2008, residing in Lyon, France, Nabil has collaborated with jazz and Afro musicians, including “Balani Sound System”, and regularly returns to Tunisia to collaborate with artists like Boubakar Ben Zid and Nabil Ghannoufi.
“Spontaneous Sensibility” ARTISTIC BOOTCAMP
"Spontaneous Sensibility" is an art camp that took place from December 24th to December 27th, 2023, at "No Name Artistic Studio Lab" in Gabes, Tunisia.The bootcamp primarily emphasizes mobile topology, an educational and artistic concept implemented in public spaces through the use of geometric shapes, physical structures, and video art. In the context of the local environment, these means serve as a replication of the overall image of the Gabes region. Accordingly, this experience contributed to unifying collective participation by engaging with these elements through embracing unique bodily movements, fostering a spontaneous awareness among children and youth.Facilitated by experienced artists in the fields of circus arts and manual skills, the event explored and applied the concept of mobile topology through various artistic mediums, including geometric forms, video art, manual skills, and circus arts. This approach aimed to facilitate social interaction, making it easier to connect with and guide young people and children by encouraging them to use their daily environment in different ways.As part of the bootcamp’s outputs, a cohesive artistic performance was created, integrating various artistic disciplines. This performance was presented at both Seniet El Bey Youth Complex in Gabes on December 27, 2023, and Mohamed Ali Youth Center
Spontaneous Sensibility Interviews
“Spontaneous Sensibility” is an art bootcamp hosted by Danseurs Citoyens Sud organization from December 24 to December 27, 2023. During the bootcamp, participants explored and applied the concept of mobile topology in the region of Gabes through various artistic mediums, including geometric forms, video art, manual skills, and circus arts. In the same context, Danseurs Citoyens Sud conducted a series of interviews with the circus team. About the bootcamp Recognizing the role of cultural journalism as a vital component in the cultural sector, "Danseurs Citoyens Sud" will organize the first edition of the Cultural Journalism Camp (Zero - One) from January 29th to February 01st, 2024, at the cultural center "No Name" in Gabes, Tunisia. The workshop aims to empower and support journalists in enhancing the cultural and artistic scene in southern Tunisia and contributing to the development of cultural journalism as a whole. As part of the program, a group of journalists residing in southern Tunisia will be selected to accompany them through enhancing their capabilities in covering press activities, programs, cultural initiatives, and artistic events. Description Context: Danseurs Citoyens Sud is seeking a sociologist to conduct an in-depth study on the situation of immigrants in Sfax, Gabès, Médenine, and Tataouine. The objective is to collect data and analyze various aspects of their lives, including the challenges they face, their contributions to society, and opportunities for policy improvement. Duration of the assignment: From January 10 to February 10, 2024. Tasks and responsibilities: Develop and implement an appropriate survey methodology to gather relevant data. Conduct in-depth interviews with immigrants to collect detailed information about their experiences, perspectives, and needs. Use quantitative methods to assess the frequency and extent of reported discriminations and violence. Thoroughly document the specific situations of immigrants, focusing on socio-economic challenges, successes, and contributions to the community.
