A theater actress and civil society activist since 2016, starting with a model institute for the arts, to working in professional theater associations, with several participation in international festivals in Slovenia, Denmark and Italy, and local participation such as the Carthage Festival and the days of Carthage, a play that reached her work as a dialog ambassador with the Danish youth center in the areas of hotbeds of tension and internal areas in Tunisia and abroad.
ARTISTIC BOOTCAMP MAY/JUNE 2023
The Artistic Bootcamp is an activity of the MISAHAT Mushataraka programThis Bootcamp is based on research and testing among a group of artists in Tunisia and the Arab region, and studied the intersection of the artistic and creative field and its relation to local contexts.The performance produced was a translation of social, economic and cultural reality, regarding civic engagement, aimed at involving individuals in their communities to make a positive difference. Taking place between May 28th and June 4th, 2023, at the No Name Artistic Studio Lab in Gabes - Tunisia, this bootcamp brought together a diverse group of artists from all around Tunisia and trainers of the MENA region. Together, they embarked on a journey of research, experimentation, and collaboration to explore the relationship between art, creativity, and local contexts. The Artistic Bootcamp was grounded in extensive research and testing conducted among a group of artists in Tunisia and the wider Arab region. The goal was to understand how the artistic and creative field intersects with local contexts. Through this process, participants gained insights into the challenges, aspirations, and unique characteristics of their communities. The panel discussion took place on Saturday, June 3, 2023, within the framework of the Artistic Bootcamp that happened from May 28 to June 4, 2023 at the Pilote Cultural Center "NO NAME artistic studio lab".This event highlighted the intersections of the cultural field in the local context (Tunisia and Jordan) as a model, the ecosystem of the cultural sector outside the capitals, body and identity. The opportunity to hear from a range of cultural actors in the region was provided by Mr. Safi Adnan Al-Sakran of Jordan, Mr. Assem Paltahhami of Tunisia, Mr. Ahmed Kerval of Tunisia and Mr. Amir Sabra of Palestine-Ireland.There was also an opportunity to interact in the discussion with a group of actors and independent technical initiators:Mr. Ayman Gharbi (INTERFERENCE)Mr. Ayman Qubaa (Digifen)Mr. Mohamed Amin Hamouda (Noname Artistic Studio lab).The interview was moderated by Mr. Amin Gharbi.

The piece honors the initiative, "Say her Name" keeping the memory of Refka Cherni, and all women who have been silenced by violence---- we will continue to say their names. Title - HER NAME IS SARRAChoreographed by Heather Harrington in collaboration with the dancers; Sara Zaltni, Salah Magtouf, Sami Hamami, Yassine Belgacem, Eslam Hammadi, Nadia Tlich, Ali Belwafi, Dali Rtimi, and Jacem Said Artistic Director - Ahmed Guerfel Music - Aymen GoubaaCostumes Mohamed Amine Hamouda Made possible by Dancers Citizens South with the support of the US Embassy.Harrington wants to thank both Dancers Citizens South for making this piece possible through their tireless work and devotion to the idea that art and creativity matters in making society free and just, and to the dancers who gave themselves, their spirit and body wholeheartedly to this piece. TAREK BOUZID
Tarak Bouzid, a professional choreographer and scenographer from Tunisia, born on February 19, 1991, and at 32 years old, with a Master's degree in research on visual arts. Tarak has worked on numerous professional choreographic works such as "Resurrection" in 2022, "Urgency" in 2018, "Marionettes" in 2014, and "I" in 2020. He has also participated in many national and international festivals such as the Hammamet International Festival, the Al-Zarqa Festival in Jordan, and the Arab Theatre Festival. He has also organized many events and festivals, such as Panorama of the Body. Tarak Bouzid is also the founder of the first dance school in Sfax under the name "Solid" and the first professional company for producing choreographic works under the name "Arts and Movement". He is considered one of the most important choreographers in Tunisia and the region, with his work characterized by experimentation and creativity.
