ART BOOTCAMPS AND COLLABORATIVE ARTISTIC PRODUCTION
The discussion panel “Balancing the Ecosystem: Between Structure and Vitality” explores how cultural ecosystems can maintain their structures without losing their capacity for movement, renewal, and responsiveness to change.
How can ecosystems move beyond being structures that organize action to become living spaces where ideas, practices, and collaborations can circulate, grow, and evolve? How can recurring practices and behaviors gradually become new conditions within an ecosystem?
From which perspective do we look at these questions? And what happens when we change the way we ask them?
Perhaps changing the question itself can be an act of imagination — one that allows us to see what we had not seen before, discover both visible and invisible roles, and rethink our positioning, as well as the conditions needed for breathing, movement, and breaking through constraints.
The panel brought together Danseurs Citoyens Sud (DCS) from Tunisia, Yirka from Lebanon, City Artists Network and Studio 8 from Jordan, and Zakhm from Tunisia, as part of the SEE Djerba Festival.
Together, the participants reflected on how cultural ecosystems can generate value and impact, create spaces for participation, and contribute to imagining and shaping possible futures.
