Visual Arts Department
The Visual Arts Department is an educational and training unit that focuses on the study and teaching of visual arts, with the aim of developing culture and arts as well as strengthening the national identity by embodying Tunisia’s local heritage in arts and disciplines included in this artistic sphere in general.
It also aims to develop the artistic skills of emerging artists in areas far from capital cities and qualify them to move from amateurism to artistic professionalism, thus contributing to the enhancement of creative industries.
Core components
Cultural Mediation
- Provide educational programs that integrate the concepts of cultural and artistic diversity.
- Encourage cultural exchange between art practitioners in Tunisia and abroad.
- Provide mentoring programs for participants to help them apply cultural and artistic mediation skills in their communities.
Painting and Multimedia
- Includes training on painting and drawing techniques using a variety of media.
- Beneficiaries study art history and various theories.
- Includes workshops and exhibitions to showcase artists' work.
Sculpture
- Includes training on sculpting techniques using local materials such as clay, stone, and metal.
- Beneficiaries study 3D design and sculpting techniques.
- Includes hands-on projects to develop artistic and manual skills.
Digital and light Arts
- Includes training on digital art techniques such as digital painting, animation, and light projection.
- Beneficiaries study the principles of programming and interactive design.
- Includes hands-on projects to produce innovative digital and light artworks.
Other art disciplines
- Includes training on photography, weaving, and environmental art.
- Aims to broaden beneficiaries’ skills and enable them to innovate in multiple fields.
- Includes individual projects and art exhibitions.
