Myriam Chibeni
Originally trained in management, Myriam Chibeni gradually transitioned into the artistic world, beginning with theatre classes and theatrical dance workshops. Since 2009, she has been exploring the relationship between body and movement through various yoga trainings in Paris, Toulouse, and Toledo, and completed a certified Hatha Yoga program in India, as well as a Vipassana (silent meditation) retreat in Pokhara, Nepal.
Upon returning to Tunisia, she opened the first home yoga studio in the northern suburbs of Tunis in 2017. Alongside this, she resumed her dance practice, participating in several contemporary dance workshops—initially with El Badeel, and later with P.A.R.T.S. in collaboration with L’Art Rue.
She also led a specialized yoga workshop for dancers during a professional audition process, focusing on body awareness, breath, and injury prevention.
This residency marks her first artistic residency experience, and she is particularly drawn to it due to the choreographer’s background in the Martha Graham technique, which resonates deeply with her interest in expressive movement and somatic practices.
