We are pleased to share highlights from the first day of the artistic residency organized by Danseurs Citoyens Sud in collaboration with the ALUMA Artistic Group, a collective dedicated to the creation and promotion of independent and inclusive artistic performances.
The residency was held from October 28 to November 2, 2024, at the No Name Artistic Studio Lab Cultural Center in Gabès, Tunisia.
This residency focused on the development of a performance specifically designed for children on the autism spectrum (A.S.D.). The artistic approach offers a rich sensory and creative experience that combines sound, visual imagery, and movement, aiming to stimulate emotions and support non-verbal communication within a safe and supportive environment.
Through this initiative, the artists explore new ways for children with disabilities to interact with one another and with their surroundings, using artistic expression as a bridge for connection and understanding.
At Danseurs Citoyens Sud, we believe in the power of art to raise awareness, encourage communication, and foster inclusion. Our mission is to create accessible and safe artistic spaces where every child has the opportunity to express themselves, participate, and engage.
