Call for Applications: Lead Trainer – "Laine" Workshop

As part of the "From & To People" program, the organisation Danseurs Citoyens Sud (DCS) is launching a call for applications to recruit a specialized trainer for our Wool Crafting & Textile Workshop in Gabès. This training unit targets 30 young participants (ages 18-35) from the southeastern region to revive, modernise, and economic leverage traditional craftsmanship,from 10 to 17 June.

Workshop Methodology & Technical Scope:

The trainer will guide participants through the complete local lifecycle of wool processing:

  • Sorting and selecting raw local wool (فرز الصوف)
  • Washing, scouring, and ecological drying protocols
  • Introduction to structural weaving and basic contemporary textile shaping

Expected Deliverables

  • Pre-training: A thorough pedagogical note detailing the weekly curriculum layout.

Trainer Profile

  • Proven technical expertise in artisan wool processing, spinning, and hand-weaving.
  • Strong track record in group dynamic moderation or teaching craft skills to young adults.
  • Fluency in Tunisian Arabic (essential for community training delivery).
  • Mandatory: Legally registered professional with a valid Fiscal Patent (Patente).

Submission Guidelines

Candidates must submit their application file compiled into one single PDF document containing:

  1. Methodological Note: Proposed pedagogical timeline and class delivery framework.
  2. Financial Offer: Global net cost for the training package execution.
  3. Professional Portfolio: Direct references, photos, or catalog data of previous textile works/trainings, along with a copy of the fiscal patent.
