Call for Trainers: Saaf Workshop

Call for Applications: Lead Trainer – "Moulage & Modelage" Workshop

As part of the "From & To People" program, the organisation Danseurs Citoyens Sud (DCS) is launching a call for applications to recruit a specialized trainer for our Molding & Modeling Workshop in Gabès. Following our natural material units, this module introduces 30 young participants (ages 18-35) to three-dimensional creation, exploring form, volume, and structure.

Workshop Methodology & Technical Scope:

The selected trainer will guide participants through practical experimentation and technical modules:

  • Introduction to three-dimensional structures, shapes, and volumes.
  • Manual modeling techniques using clay or equivalent pliable media.
  • Progressive prototyping from basic sketches to physical structural objects.
  • Introduction to basic mold-making using matrix tools and baseline forms.
  • Surface manipulation, relief styling, engraving, and professional finishing.

Expected Deliverables

  • Pre-training: A detailed pedagogical note outlining the class progression layout and methodology.
  • Post-training: A comprehensive final report detailing a qualitative and technical review of individual student growth.

Trainer Profile

  • Proven expertise in sculpture, manual modeling, clay art, ceramics, or related fine arts.
  • Prior experience working with youth groups or facilitating interactive creative labs.
  • Fluency in Tunisian Arabic (essential for educational transmission).
  • Mandatory: Legally registered professional with a valid Fiscal Patent (Patente).

Submission Guidelines

Candidates must submit their application compiled into one single PDF document containing:

  1. Methodological Note: Proposed pedagogical approach, lesson breakdown, and core workflow.
  2. Financial Offer: Total global net fee statement for the entire training unit.
  3. Professional Portfolio: Examples of personal work, reference projects, background profile, and a copy of the fiscal patent.
